What we collect

When you browse. Nothing that identifies you, unless you accept analytics cookies. Our hosting provider, Amazon Web Services, processes the technical data needed to deliver the pages, such as your IP address and your browser's type.

When you accept analytics cookies. Google Analytics records how the site is used: the pages you visit and for how long, your device and browser, an approximate location, and the website that sent you. It sets cookies to recognise a returning browser. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses.

When you send the demo request form. Your name, email address, the demo format you chose and your message. They reach our team by email through Web3Forms.

When you email us. Whatever you choose to include.

Why we use it

Analytics: only with your consent, to understand which parts of the site are useful. You can withdraw consent at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

Enquiries: only to reply to you, because you asked us to.

Hosting data: to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Cookies and storage

Google Analytics cookies (names beginning "_ga"): set only after you accept, and removed when you decline through "Cookie settings".

Your cookie choice: kept in your own browser so we do not ask on every page. It is not a cookie and is never sent to us.

We use no advertising cookies and no social media trackers.

Who receives it

Google, for analytics, only if you accept. Web3Forms, to deliver the demo request form. Amazon Web Services, which hosts the site.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union, under the safeguards EU law requires.

We do not sell your data.

How long we keep it

Enquiries: as long as we need to deal with your request and any follow-up.

Analytics: for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account.

Your cookie choice: until you clear your browser's storage.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Write to commercial@oreyeon.com.

You can also complain to a data protection authority. In Portugal, that is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).

The newsletter

If you subscribe to our quarterly newsletter, we collect your name and email address and a record of your consent: the wording you agreed to and when. We use them only to send you the newsletter, on the basis of that consent.

Your subscription is confirmed by an email we send you, so no one can sign up an address that is not theirs.

The list is kept by Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.), which sends the newsletter on our behalf and may process data in the United States, under the safeguards EU law requires.

Every issue has an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to commercial@oreyeon.com. We keep your details until you unsubscribe.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
